Our Instructors Our instructors are Tuiren Bratina and Tom Bratina. Tuiren is our Education Director, and Tom is our Technology Director. Both have many years of experience in their related fields, and will be dedicated to providing the highest level of education and training. Tuiren specializes in tutoring in all subjects, as well as test preparation, and basic computing skills. Tom is the technology expert, and specializes in productivity applications, as well as computer networking, upgrades, and repairs. |

Tom Bratina, Technology Director Tom Bratina has been in the computer services industry since 1993. He has been developing large corporate applications for insurance companies for the over 10 years. His expertise is in the object-oriented development language of PowerBuilder. He is also an experienced database developer on Sybase, as well as Oracle. He has expert knowledge in many of the productivity tools used in homes and small businesses today, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Publisher, and Microsoft PowerPoint. He is also knowledgeable in the areas of computer upgrades and repairs, as well as database programming. Tom has published technology education articles in three journals. He also designed and created three web-based distance-learning courses for the University of North Florida. |

Tuiren Bratina, Ph.D., Education Director Tuiren has taught elementary, middle, secondary, and post-secondary school students in Alabama, Florida, Indiana, New Mexico, and California. She earned her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Florida State University in 1983. She was a career military officer, retiring from the Air Force Academy as a Professor of Mathematical Sciences. Tuiren spent the next 11 years on the University of North Florida faculty. There she taught pre- and in-service teachers. Tuiren’s experiences include Middle School Teacher Preparation Program Developer; instructor for Jefferson State Community College Upward Bound high school students; Director, Northeast Florida PreCollegiate Program; item writer for teacher competency tests; Advanced Placement grader; local, regional, national, and international workshop presenter; and publisher of many educational articles. |
